WARBIRD "LINKS" Updated!

Since this Forum has been up, several readers have been good enough to send in their own links, as well as a few I've added. They're scattered around under different threads, so I decided to collect as many as I could find and put them in a new, updated "Links" thread. Here it is! As quickly as things change in the modeling world, this is not the end, just a more complete beginning.
The link is to the "Home Page" in most cases. The reason is that the larger sites like "Raidentech" or "New Creations" have sub-categories like "Park Flyer", "Glow Scale", "Small Electrics" etc. From the home page you can select or search.
Many of the sites are not specifically-electric. Be sure to check "Nitro", "Glow/fuel/gas", also "Scale" and Military/Warbird"

More 3-Views

I Forgot the Russian/French 3-view site (when you see the site you'll understand!) that has over 300 3-views, these have pretty good detail, a few fuselage cross-sections, wing root airfoil, some have side-view variants, etc. A few WWI, mostly WWII and newer, many Jets.

And there's more!

In the interest of keeping the links in one easy-to-find location, I've upgraded the list with several reader-supplied links. Thanks to the following;
Tim Hooper for Fellsideprecisioncutting
Gene Smith of Model Aviation Magazine for Simmerspaintshop
Crxmanpat for Guillows/ACSupply
Glacier Girl for VQWarbirds
Bassman for Theworldmodels
Keep'em coming, this is turning into a pretty good resource!

Ron,

Great stuff! The one-stop shop for finding anything warbird related. Nice work (don't you have a life? :p ).

Sky Sharkster 05-03-2006 11:42 AM

Life? What life?

Thanks, Pat! Well, outside of work, family, two model clubs, Wattflyer, building and flying, repairing my 1979 Mustang, nope!
Ron

crxmanpat 05-03-2006 04:08 PM

I hear ya! For me it's work, family, President of a newly formed e-club, WF, RCG, my 1990 Honda CRX, repairing, building and flying. And an odd RC show here and there. I will be in San Diego this weekend.

600 plans

Here is a site with 597 zip plans for ww1 to present. It is all in german. I did download a few plans a few years ago to see what the looked like and there are some good plans. but I have not checked any out in a while.

Cheers,

kahloq 01-08-2007 03:43 PM

Wow......very surprised you missed www.kmp.ca
They offer some of the best ARF's out there. They are larger scale planes, but many have been made electric.

Also, www.electricjetfactory.com or easy to remember www.ejf.com

Another popular site is www.d2air.at
This one carries a whole host of electric warbird arf's and kits you cant normally find in the states. They are in Austria, but will ship to the US.

Hello Kahloq, Thank you for the links. I've added them to the list.

Sky Sharkster 01-08-2007 05:52 PM

Too Soon?

OOOOPPPPS! Corrected.
Hope you enjoy my research work and find it useful. As I mentioned a couple of times in the heading, the list is incomplete and evolving.

What part of Denver do you call home? Where do you fly at down there?
Our club up here has two fields....both with paved runways...one is primarily electric or 40 size glow at 150feet long and the other is 275ft for larger planes including the 40% size(if your good at landing anyways)
LoveAir(from Loveland) also has a very nice field that has a 750foot long paved runway. Good enough for very large scale turbine jets

Sky Sharkster 01-08-2007 09:41 PM

Flying in Denver

Hello Kahloq, I live near downtown Denver and belong to the Arvada Associated Modelers (dual club membership, also the Rocky Mountain Electric Flyers). Theyhave a site with 2 flying fields off Hwy 93 North of Golden. One long paved runway, the other grass for gliders/electrics.
I've flown with the new L.E.A.F club in Longmont, near the Union Reservoir last summer, as well as Chatfield and Aurora (Airpark) as a guest or at electric "Fun Flys"
Sounds like you have a great site, if they have any "Electric" events, let me know!
Ron

We usually have an electric fly-in sometime during the summer. Also, on the 4th of July, we have a large event which consists of both electric and fuel powered.
