I see it is time my Camel made another dawn patrol.

Snoopy is too cool in the tripe!! I have a Dare Sopwith tripe kit I got last Christmas. I was thinking of putting a Snoopy in it. You know, kinda pre-Sopwith Camel Snoopy!!! Will try to post some more little tripe pics tonight. Steve

WWI Ace 11-27-2007 11:34 PM

Send that Camel up degreen60 and we'll make Fokker Fodder out of it!!! Steve.

Is this tripe a Sterling or Guillow's kit? I build the Guillow's kit way back in the early 1960s. I have the plans from the Sterling kit. I don't know where I got them. I though about using the plans to make a foam tripe but I think I would rather have a larger plane.

scalercflyer 11-28-2007 02:32 AM

Hey guys, I sent a couple of the tripe pics to Kurt at www.aerodromerc.com and he wants to put it in his model gallery!! I have to get some outside pics when the weather clears up. He says it will look great on some grass outside with low profile shots. Wow, never thought I could build anything worthy of his gallery. There are some really great looking planes on there!! Steve.

Just posted a couple of vids of my DH1 and thought you might like to see them. The model is from an ARF kit produced by LX models, the manufacturer of the models mentioned in the first post of this thread.

Nice to have ya back kiwikid!! I was wondering if anyone ever actually bought and flew one of these planes. To think this whole thread started with that one question!! Yours looks much better than the one on their website! Steve.

No more 'Sub Forum'

I kind of twisted Mike Parsons arm a little to get the WW1 era planes in its own forum. He mentioned that this particular forum didnt really have to many threads going, so if you fellow WW1 plane lovers would like to keep this out of a 'sub-form' start making some threads and see what kind of traffic we can bring here.

thanks -

WWI Ace 11-30-2007 02:49 AM

You got it Dave!!!
