My Dr.1 is going to be black with the "God of Wind" ala Jacobs. Gotta get the table back from the wife to work on it some more.:(

I made his DVII. Here is the "God of Wind" if you need it.

Sweeeet video! :D Sounds like a rotary engine since he keeps blipping the throttle.

Watch when they hand crank the engine before starting it, you can see the cylinders on the rotary engine turn.

I got the decals for my 1/8th scale tripe from www.calliesgraphics.com and they came with all the wing crosses and everything!! If you go to her website you can see the Jacobs decals on a smaller tripe. I just had her enlarge them to my planes scale. Steve

Berg DI

Hey Guys, I have a nice set of plans for a BERG Di if anyone is interested. Marty

Ryan Flyer 07-08-2009 01:38 PM

Hay scalercflyer, I might be interested. By BERG Di do you mean a Dr1 made by BERG?
Thanks
Ryan

I like this one.

dbcisco 07-08-2009 10:31 PM

If I recall, the Berg Scout had a fairly narrow fuselage. It looked like a cross between a Fokker D.VII and an Albatross. Very cool plane. Too bad there are only a handful of WWI planes on the market with so many models to choose from, and most are really sweat looking too. I think that is what I like about WWI, the most diversely equipped of possibly any war before or since.

Here is another picture showing the shape of the fuselage.

Berg

Allright Boys... here is the lowdown... Yes, the pics posted by degreen (thanks Buddy) are the correct ones of the plane. This plane has a 26" WS and a 22" long fuse. It's a Model Builder plan and a free flight rubber model plan that could be blown up and/or converted to RC or made into a RC foamie using the plans as patterns. Anyone interested let me know. I'm glad to share. I only ask for the price of copying and postage. Marty

Couldn't find a single red Berg D.I. White and red, solid maroon etc... no red ones!'
I see why you have this Marty.:D

WWI Ace 07-09-2009 02:14 AM

DARE Sopwith Camel kit

Boys I just put my DARE Sopwith Camel lazer cut kit up (see website) for sale (42"WS 27" length). I decided not to build it but instead, sell it so I can buy a N17 eflite kit or some other equipment. If any of you are interested, I will do a whole lot better on the price that I have listed on the for sale section here on WATTFLYER. This kit is complete and has never been started. PM me if you are interested. First come, first served. Marty
