O K So I got 20% off BUT

In all fairness I need to E-Mail Rachel Williamson this complaint before I go off on Hobby Lobby C.S. But I'll just post the facts as they stand for now. I've recently become a new customer of Hobby Lobby cuz my son and I like their J Power EDF 64mm jets. WE ordered a F-4 N minni Phantom and a F-18 Tiger Striped ( airframe only ) and we're very happy with them. Then during the 20% off a $100. purchase or more sale in Oct. we ordered a J Power F-5 E Tiger jet and a Euro-Fighter part by part to get the whole air frame. The F-5 E came and was missing the foam block that holds the fan in the fuse. I E-Mailed Customer Service and they replied promptly with a R M A number to return the jet for replacement. Problem is R M A # is authorization to return it but I had to pay the $11.00 shipping. I saved $16 getting it on sale but have payed back $11. of that savings. O K live and learn. Then the fuselage of the Euro-Fighter (a very delicate part) was slightly crushed in shipping . Even though it was generously wrapped in bubble wrap. So Rachel Williamson says, "Allen Duff

I'm very sorry to hear that your package arrived damaged. I will need to file a claim with the carrier. They will contact you to pick up the kit. Once the carrier has the package in hand we will send you out a new kit or contact you with an alternative course of action if that kit is not readily available.

Well as of yet I haven't heard a word about U P S coming to inspect it. And after my experience with the shipping issue on the other jet , I've decided to repair the cracked fuse and forget about returning it. Even though it was well wrapped in bubble wrap it probably should have been double boxed because of it's delicate design. Att. Jason Cole , I know you will probably read this so these are the facts. Tell Rachel I've repaired the Euro Fighter fuse.

Been there, seen it, done it, bought the Tee Shirt. UPS has crushed 3 airplanes and I've lost track of the crushed boxes. If I have the choice, I choose another carrier. If not, tell the shipper that you want "signature required". That way if it's messed up, they can't drop it and drive off. You'll be able to refuse the package and expidite things right from the door.

When I got my easyglider pro last week they had a box inside a box with lots of bubble wrap. The outside box was pretty good shape and strong, it would take alot to crush it. Of course California has alot farther to travel from Hobby Lobby than Iowa does.

Oh man!! The brown truck is on its way to my house right now from Hobby-Lobby. I hope it makes it here OK. I DON'T like surprises.

In the past H/L was always aces for me, UPS- not so much. I found H/L did seem to try there best to negate the shipping gorillas with their boxing to get stuff here to NY. I do understand that H/L has a new owner 'thou:rolleyes:. Never know how much that will change things. Keep us posted....

Eh thanks for the views . I repaired the cracked fuse with C A and ply strips and formers of Dow FFF. Way less hassle than the ship it back routine . And it's too sweet of a looking foamy EDF to risk that they still have the parts. And it was a good deal at $78. And we all know how long foamies stay in pristine shape.::oThe other issue of missing parts in the box is the Manufacturers Boo Boo so cant rant at H L too much

The F-5 missing the part got to Hobby Lobby today. So waiting for my next shipment.

Yeah!!

Ordered a roll of PolyCover from H/L & one other small item. UPS dropped it off @ the door last wk., & the long box was still bent in the middle @ about a 30deg. angle! The PolyCover roll still held that same angle, & was badly creased! And the inner cardboard tube seems to be completly collapsed!! Very little packing,!! Maybe there is no harm done, the crease might shrink out, or I can work around it!!

Got the bad news today.... F5 E Tiger SOLD OUT ... At sale price $59. which is $20 less than I paid. But H L offered a Minni F-4 N ARF $149. value ( I already have one ) or the F-15 air frame only which is on sale for $59. I went with the blue camo F-15. Sounds like it's a single 64mm EDF.
