Thanks Again

Can't thank you enough. That's the most info I have ever had on electrics. Great prices and the free shipping is wonderful. Where did you find the instructions for programing the shut-off voltage?

I found the instructions at the bottom of the page where you order the ESC. It is in the blue comment section. I have received 2 differant 30amp ESC from them, one has blue motor leads and the other has black. They take differant instructions. I have both instructions if you need them.

Merry Christmas!

Hope you all have a great Christmas. Not sure I'll be on much for a couple days, getting really busy at home for a bit.

Hope you all get a plane under the tree!

My request was for a new P-47 from Hobby Lobby. I know, I'm branching out, it's not WWI, but it's still about as cool as they come!

Beltane blessing to all.

Ryan Flyer 12-23-2009 09:13 PM

I think it will be a hili for me. :) Not a plane and not WW1 but I want to learn how to fly the hilis.

Have a great Christmas everyone!
Patryan

Merry Christmas!

I would like to wish all of my WWI Buds and Friends here at Wattflyer a very Merry Christmas! May all of you get a nice new airplane under the Christmas tree (and lots of other goodies too). Always keep Christ in Christmas and remember the true meaning of Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season, not Santa Claus! May the Good Lord Bless each and every one of you and your families. Marty

Watts of Power

Trying to size a brushless outrunner and they have different "Watt of power".
How do you determine what is needed for watts?

Don in PA.

I hope all you guys have a very Merry Christmas!!! I'm not getting any plane stuff this year because Santa, "my wife" decided I needed a new leather jacket to ride my Harley in. Good present for sure, but still not a plane!!! Steve

degreen60 12-25-2009 01:09 PM

Happy Santa day everyone, I hope the jolly old fat man was kind to everyone and did not leave a bundle of switches cause you had been bad.

Report

Gentlemen, I expect a full airplane present report from all of you shortly. :D Marty

7car7 12-25-2009 06:53 PM

None so far, :( But heading to inlaws in a bit, and he's a plane nut ;-)

dbcisco 12-25-2009 08:13 PM

Wife got me four heli and two airplane models but they are display only. She made me a cashmere overcoat (she's a seamstress) so I'll be warm and look good if I go flying in the snow.:Q
I also got for myself a bunch of Guillows kits and a couple Sterling peanuts.

I got my wife a fur coat and a new camera so I can steal her old one (the camera). Maybe I'll be able to post some more pics soon.:D

I got a $20.00 gift certificate for Hobbytown USA.

I just started a Hansa-Brandenburg C.1 scratch balsa build from Russian "plans". Don't have a camera but here is what it will look like (sorta).

Ron 12-26-2009 05:33 AM

Great to hear Colin....did you start on the D V11 yet? and were you able to find the paint we were talking about? my covering arrived..I have the radio into the dr1, and likely will start covering wings and tail feathers this week...not going to do the fuse till everything is installed.

Cool plane to build db, can't remember seeing one around anywhere. Are you gonna do a build thread?

Steve

dbcisco 12-26-2009 07:54 AM

I guess I have to do a build thread. I will start taking pics with a phone cam as that is all I have at the moment.

Ron 12-26-2009 06:25 PM

db that's gonna be a cool model..what size are you going to do it in ?
can hardly wait to start seeing the progress pics.

dbcisco 12-26-2009 06:32 PM

It will be 1/12 scale with 24" wingspan.
