No I do not have that book. I have lots of WW1 printed paper airplanes. I also have 3views. The plane I am thinking of building next I do not have a printed paper plane of it only a 3 view, the Caudron G4. The G4 has everything I like, twin motors, wood beams hold the tail feathers, only thing I like and it does not have is pusher props.

Maybe we can use Wonder Woman's "Golden Lasso of Truth" to rope him and make him tell us what he is building!!! Steve

That is easy to make. You just take a transmitter to the field and tell everyone the plane is in the air and you are controling it.

You building a boxkite?

Just got back from the local park where I flew 3 batteries through my Fokker D7. It's 30 degrees, 3 inches of snow, and calm winds. I couldn't wait any longer!!! I was going through withdrawals!!!! Steve

What!!!! No pics, how'd it look in the snow???

It was a little bit too windy to fly tody, but I did make quite bit of snow fly from my snow thrower. Been at the same house since 1977, and this was the first time I used up 3 complete tanks of gas. They're predicting another storm coming through early next week.

My wife complains about the snow no matter how little we may have. I just tell her to be glad we're not Yuppers. Then I bring out the plaque showing he Monument just past the Kewenaw Airport outside Houghton-Hancock. Commemorates the record snow from sometime in the 80s. Something like 28'? in oneWinter.

to give you an idea of size, the "pilot" is 6 ft 1..the guy in the black leather jacket is 6 ft 4....... enjoy

It was warm flying there. This morning no wind, sunny 11 degrees but I waited till it warmed to 13 degrees. I wanted to test a scratch built rubber ducky antenna I made. The antenna shows as much output as a smiley rubber duck on my FSM and much better SWR. I took my Fokker EIII(GWS SS F trainer) out and flew it almost our of site, no glitches(antenna that came with the transmitter glitches off the end) and no loss of control. The antenna I made is only 6 inches long so when the weather is cold I can install battery in the house and then carry both plane and transmitter turned on out to fly. Keeps hands warmer.

Thanks fellas..it flew without one adjustment in trim or CG..once it took off, all flying was done with the throttle lever backed off to the bottom, and it was flown using only the throttle trim lever for power. Colin you will have to get that D V11 up and running soon...May is coming fast :-)

Its up on the bench. I have bought some tamiya paints to start the painting it. Will be testing the primer this week. I hope it looks ok once its done.

Hey Ron! Where's your pilot? ???? Marty

I made a set of skis from a meat tray for my GWS Tiger Moth. I give the TM to my son but he lives far enough south not to need the skis. I desided with the snow storm coming in again tonight maybe I could put the skis to use on another plane. The skis were easy to attach using one rubber band that both holds the skis on and lets them rotate if needed but always returns them to the same angle in flight. Now let it snow, my J9 is ready.

It's amazing, it appears to fly exactly like my Electrifly DRI - just want to go straight up! (cept yours is much more scale looking speed)

Wife took these this morning. She says I am nuts. It is snowing but no wind. Snow was too soft to take off and land on the skis.

Yes, it had been a couple of days sence I had flown. Last time I flew temp was 13 so today was nice. Now my shakes are gone, maybe the snakes will be not be in my bed tonight. LOL

Need larger skis? You know, those bird houses sure seem like they would be in the way of flying.

For sure I would be smacking into one of those birdhouses sooner rather than later!

I Think the Birdhouses are for Pylon Racing.

The open area is to the right and beyond the bird houses. If you fly over the birds houses going left you have to turn right or climb in a hurry, you can not see the trees in the picture. If your low and fly this side of the bird houses you have to land in a hurry or you will be in the trees.

I can teach you how to get planes out of trees. LOL My cousin told me he used a 22 rifle to shoot limbs off to get planes out. My piloting skills are great at dumping my landing into the tall grass beyond the bird houses. If for some reason when landing toward the birds houses I come in too high I have to land under the trees, no going around when landing it that direction.
