At attention

If I could put you Guys in a room, I'd make all of you line up and stand at attention. :) Then I'd go down the line and crack each one of you, one at a time ! Leave it to you Guys to twist me up again about red airplanes, just when my therapy was going so well!:rolleyes: :D. You'd think you Guys would have learned by now.............. :censor: Marty

Lead poisoning:
"The classic signs and symptoms in children are loss of appetite, abdominal pain, vomiting, weight loss, constipation, anemia, kidney failure, irritability, lethargy, learning disabilities, and behavior problems.[15] Children may also experience hearing loss, delayed growth, drowsiness, clumsiness, or loss of new abilities, especially speech skills.[12] Symptoms may appear in children at lower blood lead levels than in adults.[16]"

The kickbacks are WW1 R/C planes. The shrink is building up his cliental by feeding our habit.

degreen60 02-27-2010 11:00 AM

I found the movie Von Richthofen on EDRAM. I don't know how good the movie is. It is rated 2.5 stars. I have my recorder set 205 AM EST March 4th.

dbcisco 02-27-2010 03:16 PM

A "kickback" is on the building table now. Guess what it is.
Here's a clue: I should have used white glue when building it.

WWI Ace 02-27-2010 03:24 PM

Will short kits be made available for the Razor Marty? Steve

A red foam DR1

WWI Ace 02-27-2010 11:44 PM

I can't hate the color red. That's what color my hair is!!!! LOL!! Steve

dbcisco 02-28-2010 01:51 AM

Did you know white glue is made with milk?
CA glue has cyanide in it.

Ron 02-28-2010 09:14 AM

Oh I notice Marty's plane is a "razor"..when he mentioned shaving, I thought about shaving foam, so I figured it would be a "foamie"

Next clue: I am really laboring over this one.

Not sure if it should be white or silver, depends on how much coverlite I have of each. At least it won't be red. ;-) I'll post picks in a new thread when someone guess what it is.

Look what Eflite has now to go with the Nieuport and SE5A. Marty should love it.

dbcisco 03-06-2010 11:12 PM

Pretty neat at "Selling Price 69.99". Better cosmetics than my SIG D7.

WWI Ace 03-07-2010 02:06 AM

What color is that Marty? Purple? LOL!!!! Steve

The bad thing is that it has non-scale wing "wires". :<:
But I'll probably get one anyway... ;-)

Put CF reinforcement in wings like the SIG and snip the wires.

degreen60 03-07-2010 02:01 PM

A CF rod across the wings will flatten and hold them in place without the wires. I wonder if it will fly good with the wings flat or will you need to cut the CF rod and put a bend in the middle. My Nieuports fly good with the top wing almost flat. I only have a half inch of dihedral in the top wing. I haven't tried a flat wing but it seems like the Nieuport would fly with the top wing flat.

dbcisco 03-07-2010 02:46 PM

On the SIG bipes, the dihedral is created in the air by the weight of the plane acting on the CFed wings. Do not put the CF as a single piece from wingtip to wingtip. Put a section in each side.

DVII

You Guys are killing me! Yes, I like the plane. I, however, still hold to the fact that the kit manufactuers (they have no imagination obviously) think everyone should have a RED airplane. If they produced this plane with a couple of different color schemes, they could double their sales! As a matter of fact, they need to consult us experts here at Wattflyer as to potential camo schemes.:D;) I think it's only fair! :D BTW, DB, are you going to the Lebanon flea market this weekend? Maybe we could meet there. PM me if you're going and we'll work out the details. Marty

scalercflyer 03-07-2010 03:15 PM

DVII

Yeah I'l probably get one too! Choke.....gag....choke, choke...........gagggggggggggg:eek::D:rolleyes:

degreen60 03-07-2010 08:16 PM

Most of the time I want to change the color of any RTF I get. But I do like the candy strips on the DVII. Maybe we should all chip in and send one to Marty. It maybe just the cure for him. LOL

Ryan Flyer 03-08-2010 07:28 PM

I have finished and flown my foam triplane! It is really cool looking it the air.
I see if K can post some pics of it some time.

I am laboring on this one. Should have used milk (Elmers) glue. Going to be nursing this one along. Here's a pic of the build so far.

Good eyes! It is a Guillows 24" kit. I bought a "used kit" with the plans and less than half the die-cut sheets.
Care to guess what model it is?

Thats it! I'm having a Bebe!
Laboring over it, nursing it along, milk glue.

I tried some Chinese made covering but it melts before it even starts to shrink. Have to get some coverlite for it.

Sorry I missed you at the flea market today D . Anyway, I have this kit (got it off of ebay for $16.00!:D). Mine is a lazer cut kit (notice the gold circle on the box. It says lazer cut kit. That's how you tell). I think I might make it be a foul weather build (no flying, shop time). Yeah shop time .......... nothing like it. No witches to bother you, no phone, etc,.............. You gotta love it!:D:rolleyes::cool: Marty

The laser cut Guillows kits are nice. You got a good deal!
I like the heavier wood in guillows kits although some folks hate it. I used some FF contest grade balsa in my N.11 and I hated it, to soft and bendy for film covering (IMHO).

I didn't see much at the show that was my to taste.
I only bought some covering for my N.11 and a used peak charger.
Much of the stuff was more expensive than I can get at the LHS or ebay.
I liked the Bucks County swap-meet (4/16/2010) better.

For the cost of gas I used I could have stayed home and bought a kit at the LHS. I won a couple old Comet kits (20-24 WS) on ebay before I left so that was nice.
