Thank you, the frame square I used even has the measurement marked on the inside so it worked great. My Camel has the COG listed on the bottom wing. I used the square on it and got a direct read for the COG on the top wing. Then by using the balancing tool with the color tape I do not have to measure and mark the COG on the plane.

Don't need Palmalive. These hands only cost a small downpayment and income for the rest of my life.


I cut the wing tips to match the tripehound.

Okay Degreen finally got to me!! Today I started a Manzanolaser Nieuport 11 designed by Peter Rake. I was gonna do my 1/8 Aerodrome tripe but I need some good wood for the spars. I have all the wings and horizontal stab and elevator built up and the front of the cowl drying overnight. It's about a 36"ws plane. Hope to get the fuse and rudder done tomorrow. Gonna use small 4.3 gram servos in it to keep it light. Haven't decided on a color scheme yet. How 'bout some suggestions fellows? I don't have much reference material on this plane. Steve

I've contacted Callies Graphics about some decals for the Nieuport. I just like the way she makes them. She does a great job and the prices are very fair. Steve

She charged me $15 which included shipping for decals for the tops and bottoms of wings, side, and rudder. She makes them out of .002" thick vinyl and you can even clear coat over them if you want. Cool 7car7!!! I have my Nieuport 11 pretty much all framed up guys. Just gotta do some sanding and bend a couple more pieces of wire. Will post pics when I get it so I can mock it up "in the bones". I'm gonna use a Eflite 400 outrunner in it. Steve

Sweeeet video! :D Sounds like a rotary engine since he keeps blipping the throttle. I may just build my Ben Buckle DVIII kit this winter (Steve where are you?). :) Or I may scratch build one (I have many sets of plans with all different size wingspans up to 69"). My Dr.1 is going to be black with the "God of Wind" ala Jacobs. Gotta get the table back from the wife to work on it some more.:(

He flys just like I do, low and down the runway. I don't quite get his landings, not 3 point like mine(2 wheels and nose). LOL So many nice WW1 planes to model. The DVII will probably have to wait. I have the plans drawn for a Junkers D1.
