WWI Ace 07-31-2007 11:48 PM

Hey Murph and Martin!! Check out this guys video of the 35"ws Aerodromerc Fokker tripe he built!! The site is http://www.j-f.cz/Modely/Fokker.html if ya wanna see it. The videos are at the top right. He did a great job and it flies very well! Steve.

scalercflyer 08-01-2007 02:15 AM

Fokker Dri

Notice the size of the rudder (standard) Boys and the way it flys so well with it! Point made! Martin

Biplane Murphy 08-01-2007 02:21 AM

Hi Martin.....Are you saying you don't like a 3-D size rudder on your
WW1 tripe?.....hehehe

Nice video....thanks steve

murph........

WWI Ace 08-01-2007 02:59 AM

I figured you guys would like that!! That is the kit I have that I will build the J. Jacobs tripe out of. Okay Martin do ya believe me now about not needin' the HUGE rudder? I told ya it flies fine with it scale size! You need to learn to listen to us Texicans!!! Steve.

WWI Ace 08-01-2007 03:35 AM

Hey Martin! Do you see where I put my little tripe on the avatar? Need to get new pics of it there! Steve.

Biplane Murphy 08-01-2007 03:37 AM

But does it have a scale rudder?:)

WWI Ace 08-01-2007 03:39 AM

Actually it does Murph! There are bigger pics of its bones in the Gallery. See Martin, I BUILD my planes!! ARF is a sound an angry dog makes!! Ha ha!!! Steve.

Biplane Murphy 08-01-2007 03:47 AM

So this is the one you are working on now?
Saw the gallery photo...Looks great!!!
That video had a 35" one.....do they make 2 sizes of kits?

Murph.....

WWI Ace 08-01-2007 06:21 PM

Yes Murph they make three sizes actually! A 23"ws, 35"ws, and like a 46"ws. If you wanna look 'em up they're at www.aerodromerc.com website. The 23" and 35" seem to build up almost identically. The littlest one comes with all the wood if I remember right and is fairly inexpensive. Check 'em out!!! The pics are of the smallest one. Steve.

Biplane Murphy 08-01-2007 07:04 PM

Hi Steve...It looks pretty cool. Have you started covering her yet?

WWI Ace 08-02-2007 01:33 AM

Yeah I've covered it with Litefilm, painted it sky blue, drybrushed it with OD Green, then did a thin wash with a light leaf green. Looking okay so far!! Steve.

Biplane Murphy 08-02-2007 01:36 AM

That's right....I forgot you already posted that.....:)

WWI Ace 08-02-2007 01:45 AM

Hey Martin!! What color is the tripe on my Avatar?? Ha ha!!! Steve.

scalercflyer 08-02-2007 04:37 AM

You Knucklehead!

You couldn't wait to do it to me could you????? I am definately going to beat you! RED Indeed! You Texicans have no imagination! I guess it worked!! I'm seeing red right now!! Martin

Biplane Murphy 08-02-2007 05:21 AM

Hi Martin......Have you started your GP Tripe yet?

WWI Ace 08-02-2007 06:23 PM

You asked for it!!! Ha ha!! Did ya notice its big rudder? EVERYTHING is bigger in Texas!!! Ha ha!! It really is a nice flying plane. When it dies it will be the last of the red tripes. Kinda sad but it will open space in the hangar for a new plane. Maybe a Ben Buckle Fokker DVIII, or a 35"ws Fokker tripe, or a Sopwith tripe, or a DVII, or......................... Man, the possibilities are almost endless!!! Steve.

scalercflyer 08-03-2007 01:10 AM

Sopwiths

Thank God there were no RED Sopwiths! Of course you Texicans are color blind..... You probably think all WWI airplanes are supposed to be red! Martin

Biplane Murphy 08-03-2007 01:44 AM

Hmmmmmmmm....Red Sopwith Tripe......I like it:Q

That's a brilliant idea Martin....:)

scalercflyer 08-03-2007 01:58 AM

In my grave

Both of Guys are going to put me in my grave yet! Martin

Biplane Murphy 08-03-2007 02:03 AM

Martin....Are you saying you've never heard of that famous ace...
"THE RED EARL OF WINDSOR"?..........:<

WWI Ace 08-03-2007 02:09 AM

Just ordered two 1/8th Spandau machine gun kits from Wright RC. Need 'em for the next tripe!! They have a good review on them at www.rcgroups.com if ya wanna see 'em Murph. They're six bucks apiece but worth every penny!! Martin can tell ya how good they are because he's a friend of the manufacturer. His reputation precedes him!! Steve.
