Wow everyones going mini-sized lately. The two seaters make great build subjects for IPS sized builds because of their nice big wingspans. I'm scoping out the LVG CVI at the moment but can"t find a true 3-view of it.

How about a printed paper LVG CII

That will be a very unique little airplane. Steve

floss........that's a pretty good set of pictures...if the model interested me, I'd have the paper and pencils out in a flash...there's plenty there to do plans from.
only thing that bothers me is it doesn't have a round cowl :-) hmmm maybe I could........no that wouldn't look right :-) I'd have all the "scale nuts" upset at me, and then I'd likely paint it R E D and upset Marty too :-)

scalercflyer 12-31-2009 05:35 AM

You Guys have no imagination............red again????????? marty

dbcisco 12-31-2009 06:14 AM

I'm here because there aint no "scale nuts".

Ron 12-31-2009 11:39 AM

on the other hand..I think we all may be nuts on some sort of scale :-)

I made a set of skis using foam meat trays for my GWS Tiger Moth. I am going to fit them on my N9 so snow on the ground don't stop me from flying.

I'm gonna try to wrap up the cropduster this weekend and get back on the Nieuport 11. Steve

here's a couple shots of this last bit of progress......not done by a long way, but almost covered...need to paint next. I did the crosses, because they need to age for a week or so before I can do the white borders.....and the covering is the proper colour for the rudder, horiz stab, and after part of the fuselage.
hope to do the undersides of wings, and figure out how to do the green streaking on the front of the fuse, and the two lower wings next week.

One good looking tripe Ron!!!! Steve

dbcisco 01-03-2010 04:07 AM

At least it has a little red in it. :)

Ron 01-03-2010 06:01 AM

Thanks guys.hope it flies :-)
Re the red......... I don't mind SOME red, but overall totally red planes don't exactly turn me on either... now after all this, I gotta carve a prop.....sheesh !

50+AirYears 01-03-2010 06:36 PM

I only had an all-red airplane once. Never again. Depth perception was non-existant. Came close to bopping myself once, thinking I was centered on the runway, but more normally I'd dump it in the weeds 80' - 90' away. Anly plane that did that to me.

For me anyway, the red has a bad tendancy to disappear in the air and all I can see is the trim colors. I don't have this problem with other planes, however given that my favorites to fly are still mostly red.::o

Anyone have a Scoripo Nieuport 28? I need the recommended COG.
