dbcisco 06-23-2010 05:19 PM

OMG! I have to have one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And its RED too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7car7 06-23-2010 06:29 PM

wow, that's really cool looking. I am amazed at the weight! Something like that, I'd build a nice fitting box for it and keep it in the car all the time.

Price? Not finding it.

Thanks for the $ info... I called my local hobby shop today and they didn't know about it yet.

Hey 7car7, did you get my PM's about the logos?

dbcisco 06-23-2010 07:46 PM

Video here!

IndyJones 06-23-2010 09:50 PM

Based on this one...

Too bad the folks making these can't think of anything but red.

dbcisco 06-23-2010 10:08 PM

The uninitiated seem to expect all WWI German planes to be red.
I like it though.
At that price get a few and paint them to make your own Flyng Circus.

Yep, I was thinking of doing that... maybe after I crash it.

dbcisco 06-24-2010 12:42 AM

I never crashed an aircraft. It was always the manufacturers fault.:D:D:D

dbcisco 06-24-2010 12:44 AM

Now I'll have to mod an Avion into a DH-2.

IndyJones 06-24-2010 12:53 AM

I love the good old Jasta 5 von Hippel myself.

dbcisco 06-24-2010 12:55 AM

I bet lozenge decals from a plastic model kit would look nice on one of these.

It would appear that I did not. Not sure why. Nothing at the top of the page for me...

IndyJones 06-24-2010 11:03 PM

Hmm... I had replied to the "Visitor message" from you... I wonder if it's located somewhere else?

scalercflyer 06-25-2010 04:44 PM

I don't crash, it was a planned stunt.

dbcisco 06-26-2010 08:44 PM

Sit on a product for months losing summer sales.
Are they that rich or that stupid?
I don't think the factories in China have much of a problem churning out millions of 3ch foamies quickly (IE: airhogs, megatech).

dbcisco 07-03-2010 10:05 PM

Tower has moved the date again:

"Late Sep"

Maybe this is like the GWS D.VII

scalercflyer 07-04-2010 02:28 AM

It figures

Figures doesn't it D! Just tease me with this thing and then don't come through! By am I :censor:! I want one NOW! It might be in time for indoor flying season. Rats! Marty

dbcisco 07-04-2010 02:31 AM

I guess I might get it for X-mas, right after RealFlight G6 is released in October. (you read it here first).

Twmaster 07-04-2010 02:33 AM

Ok, now that little booger is cool as it gets.

Me want.

NOW!

;)

scalercflyer 07-04-2010 02:35 AM

Just checked

Hey D I just checked Tower's website and the link for the Albatros doesn't even come up under a search!:confused: Interesting! Maybe they are getting their chops busted because they don't have it for sale. ???? marty

scalercflyer 07-04-2010 02:35 AM

Me three Mikey! Marty

Twmaster 07-04-2010 03:09 AM

I don't see it there either Marty...

:(

scalercflyer 07-04-2010 03:33 AM

Video

They even removed the video link! Those dirty dogs!

dbcisco 07-04-2010 04:24 AM

Try this link

Twmaster 07-04-2010 07:38 AM

Cool thanks! I want one! WANT! ;)

IndyJones 07-04-2010 07:06 PM

"Estimated Late Sept"

Crap, I thought it supposed to be the end of July...

dbcisco 07-04-2010 07:52 PM

By August it will probably read "Late November".
If they don't have this in the LHSes before X-Mas, someone at Hobbico needs to be fired (USA) or shot (China).

IndyJones 07-04-2010 08:06 PM

Naah, what will happen is the USA job will be moved to China.

dbcisco 07-04-2010 08:26 PM

The US warehouses still need employees, regradless of the China Myth. I remember when the USA was going to go bankrupt because of all the transistor radios made in Japan in the 60's.
Hobbico is little more than an importing company, like most of the major players in this industry. They simply have an office and warehouse in the USA. The 700 or so employees are warehouse personell. While the "owners" sold it to the employees they are still the permanent board of directors and retain the same income and power. Yes, you can sell your cake and eat it too (ain't capitalism great?). Not faulting them, employee "ownership" has been the biggest scam in the USA for at least 30 years.

Twmaster 07-04-2010 08:41 PM

Folks, let's keep this on topic.

dbcisco 07-04-2010 08:49 PM

Maybe HH will come out with a BNF Albatros and beat them to the market. Actually,I would pay more for a DSM2 version.

scalercflyer 07-16-2010 08:54 PM

Micro Dva

Looks like late September Boys. Here's the page from tower's website. I'm guessing if I use real fine sandpaper I can get rid of the RED paint and redo her. I already have the camo scheme picked out. :D marty
