Hey Doug...what's up man? How's the Gee Bee repairs?
I'm still at work down South here. Thought I was going home Sat or Sun but we have a client test flight coming Sat and the equipment is malfuntioning so I get to delay my trip home. But I'm gettin closer.
Bought a Giant Scale Great Planes Cuttiss P-6E Hawk on eBay a few days ago and looking forwward to that when I get home. I 've been spending all my money on RC planes. I now have seven all together now. But the Gee Bee is my main priority when I get home. The others will have to wait for the right time and space for building. The anticipation is great.

    Take care,

Yep, things are tough all over. I flew at Honeydew a couple evenings ago. Parked on the street. No big deal, but it is nice to have the pavement as an option for landing. Met a glider flyer there over the weekend. He told me about a schoolyard up on Benson Hill I think. Saw it on Google Earth. Looks pretty good, but it's in the flight path for Renton field. Maybe that's where you and Tweed fly sometime?

Hey Doug, well its about time ya showed up.......LOL!!
Hey good stuff in Oshkosh, B'gosh! Good to have you back pal, and well our flying spots have shrunk a bit, honeydew has the school fenced off so no place to park, Thomas Teasdale park is closed till mid october, and we cant even go back to southcenter as they are building somethng there now.
I think im gonna finally get down there to visit and join up with MRRCS this weekend, im tired of not having a decent reliable place to fly even if it a bit far away.

Thanks. I only wish I would have had the camcorder on for more of the race. After the first lap the 3 planes were so spread apart that it looked more like a fly by than a race. On the 3rd lap it started getting interesting so I turned the camera back on.

Here's a beautiful ARF. The Curtiss P-6E has been one of my most admired planes of all time. It was discontinued by Great Planes in June I believe. Has really great reviews from all who bought it - RC Universe or RC Groups.
Somebody probably needs to direct me to a therapyst cause I just bought it....had to.
Look it over's convertatble to electric. But I told Mike I'm thinking a four stroke gas maybe, just for the scale sound. They were going for over $500.00 from Tower then reduced to $299.00 until the last. (I paid $449.00.) Check it out.
