If you're going to learn to fly them, you have to learn to fix them.

If you fly from the main athletic field, you can overfly another half block to the north of the field that is semi-wooded wetland. You can also overfly the school building, which has a low flat roof, a church to the northwest, and the Kiwana park across the street to the west. The park is pretty well used, so we generally don't fly that far to the west unless up high. There are also tall firs and high voltage power lines surrounding the park, so it's not ideal. But where we fly, there is a small paved area next to the school that can be used for takeoffs and landings, though the landing approach can be a little tricky depending on the wind direction. Most of us fly off the baseball diamonds or the grass, which is pretty firm.

Took a look on Google Earth. Doesn't look too bad. Is that Kiwana Pk across the street available? Looks pretty open.

I should check out Magnuson sometime. I've been up there a few times but never to fly. I've flown with Kosh a few times down at a big empty lot near Southcenter Mall. Sometimes it's empty and sometimes it is full of new cars awaiting delivery to car dealers. You never know until you get there. The athletic field at Honeydew Elementary in Renton is my usual flying spot and has become quite popular with park flyers. The school is in the middle of a two year remodel, so there are no organized sports on the fields right now. On a good flying weekend, there are usually at least a half dozen guys flying there.

I'm up in the N. end. We fly at Magnuson Park, part of the old Sand Point Naval station. We used to have a small tarmac parking lot with unmowed grass on both sides that got really swampy in the winter. The revision at the Park is turning that back into wetland and we moved to a double baseball field that is currently in limbo next to the old spot. There is massive construction going on all around us. There's about a half dozen of us (retired) guys mid-week, and other folks on the weekend but I don't fly then as much. Kosh came down to the original field but I haven't seen him in a long time. I think he's up at 60 acres (think it's called that).

There is (was?) and indoor group that uses one of the hangers I went and watched a couple of times when I was just starting out so it seemed vastly over my head.

Was just browsing through here and saw that Dick D, aka Capt Easy mistook you for me - LOL! So where do you fly in Seattle? Most of my stick time is at a big athletic field in Renton not too far from where I live.

Okay, I got you mixed up with the other Doug.
Anyway I'm the guy that bought the ParkZone charger from you a couple months ago. At least I think I bought from you. Anyway it works fine. But I'm getting real serious about my equipment and accessories. I studied up on the balance chargers and have definately decided on a Cellpro 4 S.
What I need is suggestions on good batteries in the 11.1V 2200-2500mA range and accessories to use with a Cellpro 4s.
Any direct help is appreciated or forum info.

    Thanks,
    Dick Dressler
