Default Best setup on GP Electrostik?

Power Up 480 Plus Outrunner Brushless Motor

Emax 50 Amp ESC with 3 Amp switchmode BEC

APC 10 x 7E Composite Propellers - TWO Props

11.1v 3300mah 35C EZ Flite Lipo Battery

What do you guys think about this setup? I just bought this ARF b/c I wanted to put my own stuff in it. Any recommended changes?

What servos would be recommended on this one for quality and fit? Would this one be better off with a mixed 2nd aileron servo or is one servo just fine for it?

If it were mine I would go up to a Power 15 or a 25. Your chosen ESC will work fine with either and I'd use a 11x5.5 prop on 3 cells. If you wanted more performance you could go to 4 cells with a 10x5. As for aileron servos I'd go with two, one for each aileron and a little more reliability. With two you could set up flaperons if you wish as well. I wouldn't be afraid to use the 12 gram EMAX ES08MA servos, with metal gears and ball bearings or the 14 gram TP MG90 for a little more torque if you need it. Either ought to serve you well and fit nicely in this plane.

Would an 11 inch prop clear the ground on this one?

I would certainly think so. I had a 15 size and used a 11" prop and could have used a 12". The Electrostick is a 25 - 32 size, substantially bigger and could likely go as big as 13" with this plane. Maybe someone flying one could chime in and shed some light on their set up for some better idea of what to expect.

I fly my GP stik with an 11-7. That will clear ground on smooth surface. For rough surface or grass better use a 10" prop.

The motor you've chosen will be pretty anemic. If you want to stick to the power-up line I suggest the 25 sport or if you want strong uplines the .32 sport.

The sport 25 @ 3S you could use 11-7. Better yet, 4S and a 10-5

The 32 sport will give you strong uplines with a 3S and 11" prop and unlimited vertical with 4s and 10-5.

O ya, I'm on my 4th Electrostik. It's my very favorite airframe.
