Default Kyosho Learjet info wanted

I have an opportunity to buy a fellow modelers Kyosho Learjet.... (it is evidentally no longer manufactured by Kyosho), but my question is, has anybody out there in "forumland" had any experience replacing the old brushed motors and nicads, with modern brushless motors, fans, and lipos? If so, I would be very appreciative of hearing what works.
TIA, Joe Casey

Mega 16/15/3 - Phx45 on 3S lipos works really well and is at the limit of power for the stock fans!

Hi Randy,
thanks for the quick reply on the Lear Jet Power question.... is the cost/power relationship (with updated fans) worth considering?

Yes. But I haven't flown a KY Lear I do have a Kyosho FV1000 EDF and I went with the mega 16/15/3 on 3s just like Randy is telling you. What a difference it made. It turned a pig into a champ.

Cost: $90 for each motor, $100 for each speed control and $84 per battery pack. Your milage may vary and object in the rear view mirror do appear smaller.
