One flight with the Infineon this morning that's all.
Was going to fly the LazyBee too but i noticed the motor was loose so had to
abort that one. And of course the wind started up after that and that was it.
Maybe tomorrow will be another fly morning, i hope.

Hey that's great to hear Sarg.
Nice to be able to do that.
I haven't been fishing or hunting in many years now but i still enjoy building
airplanes and flying them.
Cheers

Tryed to fly the Stearman had a lot of adjusting to do on it. I got it close but not complete yet.
Tryed to maiden my new Extra 300 build and needs a lot of tweakin too.
Finally i took the LazyB out for a fly and had a decent flight all except for too
much wind gusting. Now way too windy for me. Ok now it's time for Coffee and Peanut Butter Cookies.

Wind and Rain this morning so i won't be able to do a maiden on my latest build. I just finished another Infineon Bipe. I have 2 of them right now, i like to have a spare on hand because it is my go to plane.Of all the planes i have built the Infineon has been the most reliable. Well anyway maybe i will be able to fly tomorrow.

Had flying weather yesterday and today. Did Maiden on the Infineon.
Came out ok and also i flew the New Pietenpol Mini
Had some Tweakin to do but got her half way decent. The wind tosses her around quite a bit though. On the new infineon i need to get more movement
on the ailerons and she will be fine.

I have the Hobby King Pietenpol. It flies real nice.

I didn't want to cross post but I have been getting a little bit of flying in again. Have had a lull due to black dog issues.
Anyway I posted my latest Wing here with a little vid on Post #8

Yeah the HobbyKing Pietenpol is 1370mm which is much much larger than mine. I built the Flitetest version , a Mini Pietenpol.

Not too bad this morning, cold but low wind.
Flew the Infineon(new) and then the Ultimate Bipe and then the Pietenpol.
Pietenpol due to its size was a little finiky but flew and landed fine.
I am going to cut the rates down on it and see if that can smooth it some.
Think i will fly the Stearman next if the wind stays down for awhile.

For the first time in FOREVER it was semi-flyable today. (Temps in the 60's, winds in the 10MPH range.)

I decided my FunBat needed some excercise so I grabbed it off the wall. I noticed that the o-ring on the prop saver had failed, so I popped on a new one, charged a couple of batteries, and headed to a nearby schoolyard.

When I threw the plane up it was producing a LOT of prop noise above 50% throttle and seemed way down on power. What the heck? I landed and looked it over. Nothing was rubbing. Nothing was broken. The prop was seated firmly ... backwards. Yep - it seems that some idiot had put the prop on backwards.

I flipped it around and things went much better (and more quietly) after that.

No flying for me today, i got a great big tree to cut up and move today.
Windy conditions caused it to come down in my front yard and within inches
of my picture window. It crushed the Satelite dish and the Bird Feeder so i will
have the DTV guy's out today for new Dish.
Wind today is supposed to be about 14mph and gusting.

Thinking about trees ... I forgot about the top of the arm of my Excavator tractor when driving it back to stand from working at my moorings ... took out a branch of a tree ...

No problem - got my handyman to cut up for the wood burning fire in house !
